No. 1 Ranked Junior College Qb Commits To Mississippi Valley State University

Jamari Jones, the No. 1 ranked junior college quarterback in the U.S. has committed to attend HBCU,Mississippi Valley State. His decision to attend an HBCU follows other high-profile athletes like Shaqir O’Neal, Makur Maker, and Travis Hunter, the No.1 ranked high school football player. 

Many believe that the country’s top athletes choosing HBCUs will prompt others to choose the underrepresented schools, as well. “We just want to recruit kids that want to be at Mississippi Valley State. At the end of the day, we got a bunch of young men that’s out there looking for a home. And I think Mississippi Valley is a great home for a lot of young men if they really want to play football,” said Dancy.
