The Multicultural Media and Correspondents Association (MMCA) is hosting its BIPOC Community Media Development Summit at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on November 18th.
The summit will address the lack of diversity in media and how to make media a more diverse and equitable space for BIPOC communities. The event will feature several panel discussions with industry leaders, media stakeholders, and advocates who will provide a roadmap to empowering underserved communities of color through investments and policy change.
Each panel will confront a different issue that negatively affects BIPOC communities and provide a roadmap to building a balanced media ecosystem. Panel topics include:

Following the summit, the MMCA will host their 6th annual Correspondents Dinner where they will highlight this year’s honorees which include Paula Madison, owner of The African Channel, President and CCO of iHeart Latino, Enrique Santos, Fox News Channel’s Harris Faulkner, and Sara Kehaulani Goo, Editor in Chief of Axios.
